Plus it hasn't been banned, it's just being reviewed.
I hope someone BRUTALLY MURDERS the developers of such a SICK game.
I hope someone brutally murders you...
To be honest who would be stupid enough to actually do that. One of the best things in life is gaming ( For me ) and the worst thing is actually taking it seriously.
> It is brilliant.
Agreed

The boy was obviously mentally unstable and should not have had access to Manhunt, but he did and it influenced him to do a copycat killing, and it was a copycat killing, there's an obvious link.
I think there's a strong chance of Manhunt being banned completely, especially since GAME have removed it from their shelves; I wonder if SR are going to follow suit.
I don't mind if Manhunt gets banned as I do think it's a pretty sick game, I did try it but I didn't like it and traded it for something else, however if it does get banned then what next? I read in the papers today that because Manhunt has been removed from some stores, the victims mother is looking to take action against other violent games.
If Rockstar do get sued for this, and get sued bad then it could effect games like San Andreas and any other games they have on their development schedule. I have nothing against Manhunt being banned, but I just hope that it doesn't effect any future games that may be likely to cause slight offence to anyone. Next people will want racing games banned to reduce accidents on the road.
But it isn't fair to ban it completely as 99% of gamers can see the difference between gaming and real life, so it shouldn't be banned so that the minority of gamers who cannot see the difference can't play it.
I am only twelve years of age but I don't go out and behead anyone because 'the game told me to'. It obviously contains hardcore violence and gore, that is why it is labeled with the '18' rating. People under 18 shouldn't purchase it unless of course, the are mature enough.
It is a law that you cannot buy an '18' rated game under the age of eighteen. So anyone who does that is, I suppose, breaking the law. It is like if you are ten years of age and you try to drive a car. The law is 18, but if your father lets you drive it, then you are responsible for your actions. If you crash the car, and you die, your father would be to blame. They don't ban that car from production. Why isn't this the case with games?
It is unfair to get such a fine game banned just because some immature person abuses it.
