This is far less than many people were thinking (£100+ was the average view) and may well be Microsoft's answer to how they will tear people away from the Wii with a very good price point for the hardware.
With a load of 3rd party developers, plus Rare and Lionhead in house there will be some good supporting software from launch.

as a side note, when are Microsoft releasing their next console? Or will they stick with the Xbox 360 for a few more years?

Don't encourage them!
1. I, and the majority of Xbox Live Users, don't turn on the Xbox to move around, you turn it on for entertainment. Why do i have to physically move myself to play a game? (look at the Wii- the only reason that little kids still play on it is because it's a waste of money for their parents to buy them an Xbox 360 or PS3 as they won't appreciate the graphics or anything like that). They'll be releasing interactive movies or something soon where you have to be involved in it and move about. I just want to relax!
2. If I want to be active, i'll just go cycling, or the gym. Why would i do it on a console if i can do it in real life? Why do companies feel they have to combine excercise and moving with gaming? I like to keep them seperate thank you very much!
3.The world must be going mad. I'm sure you've all seen that clip where the woman interacts with the child using Natal, sorry did i say child, i meant computer character. Is that supposed to encourage children not to interact with real people, but instead stay at home all day and talk to a bunch of pixels?
Why are they trying to make games like reality? A major point of games for me is to escape the reality!
Usually goes:
"Ah, look at the bright colourful cover on that game, it must be good"
{takes game home}
"Oh, it's a bit crap"
{never plays game again}

But what about escaping physically into another reality...
I'll probably go for it - you can still play the usual way, but Natal will give you another way of playing. And if that makes it fun (or just seem ubercool - the selecting of your films from your library ala Minority Report for instance).
All it needs to do now is learn my name and somehow supply me with beer and it will become my new best friend :p (and when I say learn my name, not like the way it does in Dirt, where they just use "Hey Jason" every 2 flipping seconds...don't wear it out!!!!
