Surely that can't be right. What about exchange rates. If the Yanks are paying $299, surely we should only be paying £200 or there abouts. Otherwise, it means that USA would be getting the same machine for a whole lot less.

An exchange rate, you see, is a funny thing
It only applies if YOU were to bring
Stuff from abroad into this country
Plus a bit more for the shipping fee
But when consoles are sold in a particular region
The manufacturers choose a price of their pleasing
Equal in value to the largest sum that they think
Us punters will pay without causing a stink!
History has shown that our price in pounds
Will tend to equal the dollar amount
So a price of two hundred and ninety nine
Seems about right but may come down in time
