This year looks like its going to be great for console buyers. The PS2 is out and the gamecube and x-box are due for release towards the end of the year ( probably the start of next year) but which will be the most popular.
They are all different. Just because the X-box is going to be the most powerful wont make it the best, it will need great games to be good. Mr Gates is putting alot of money into it but im not sure if it will be as popular as most people think.
The gameCube from nintendo will give nintendo lovers what they want, a powerful console to play many of their favourite games, its sure to be great if you like nintendo but will there be any games that will be able to beat the likes of GT3 and MGS2 for the PS2.
The PS2 is great and has many promising titles and is sure to be up at the top of the console chart. Like the PSX it managed to beat off consoles that where more powerful that it. Maybee the same can happen again.
Its hard to compare all these consoles as they are all different and appeal to different people. The best one will probably the one that brings out the best games. Who knows maybee with the extra competition the price of games and peripherals may be lowered.

I think the PS2 will be a great hit's, concentrating on all ages. Most people know the Nintendo as a company for young kids but sony are varied!
X-box will not be a hit as to many popel hate Bill Gates and have already got a PC, I cant wait for MGS2 and GT3
