Rumour has it that GAME have started taking pre-orders for a February release, at £150.

So far there are 19 Gamecube games scheduled for release before the end of 2001 in the USA, so it's quite possible that a large chunk of these will be ready for a UK launch.

Almost certain to be launch titles are the following:

Luigi's Mansion
Wave Race: Blue Storm
Super Smash Bros: Melee
Star Fox Adventures: Dinosaur Planet
Eternal Darkness
Rogue Leader
Super Monkey Ball

Other companies are sure to have games out for, or shortly after launch too!

There are some new magazines out which have indicated a £199 price, but nothing official - Just based on the $199 USA price.

I'd be surprised if it was as low as £150, but it would certainly have mass appeal at that price.

Nintendo could well surprise us.

Has the official GBA price been announced - I'm still seeing the price range from £79-£89, but no-one has the official price.

By the way, Rogue Squadron: Leader (or whatever it is to be called) looks like a top game. There'll also be an ISS game which couldn't possibly let us down.

What am I looking forward to most on the Gamecube?

Either the multiplayer fun of DK Racing and Smash Brothers Melee or the incredible fun that Pikmin promises.

I hanvt heard any news on a new mario kart game, but surely nintendo will release one becasue it always sells by the bucket load. Saying that though, they are release mario kart on the GBA so will they release a Gamecube version as well?

One game i am excited about is Wrestlemania. Thq just confirmed it should be available around launch time. I loved all the THQ wrestling games on the N64 and hopefully this should take it to the next level.

Aslo heard that Namco are making a quality beat em up for the cube. rumour has it that it could be a tekken or a soul caliber game.

Loads of games for release. i think there will be at least 15 at launch. a huge step up from the N64 launch. Nintendo can make it back to the top, the GC could well see them overtake sony.

Does anyone know any definete games that are being launched along with the console and what their prices are gonna be?
