Planning a month tour of Europe next July with some people. Although we had originally planned it with a car/jeep I think we're going to go with Interrail now - http://www.interrail.com
Anyone ever tried it?

Not tried it and don't know anyone who has but the big advantage of a train is you can sit back and relax while someone else does the driving.

Aye. Just trying to decide who to go with. More than 4 people might lead to difficulties. And you need to be able to get along with the people you go with. Pretty set on it though. It's £285 for a 1 month ticket which lets you visit almost all the European countries free of charge.

I am planning a tour with Trek America next year/year after. Maybe do Europe next time. I really want to do the trailblazer tour - 35 states and a few Canadian provinces in 64 days. Costs just shy of £2500 (excluding flights). I'd rather do this than UNi and have a poor life than to be boring, be a student and have no fantastic memories.

Tell me how your trip in Eurpe goes, I'll be interested in doing that in the future as well.

Hardly, most uni's offer programs that allow travelling. It's not part of my course, but I'm hitching to Prague this Easter for charity. I just have to raise £300...

The band isn't that big.

It'd only take you a few hours.

Although, if you set yourself a time-limit, I bet they'd give you a good countdown.

I've applied for dental school, but I don't think I'll get in, it's way too competitive. My parents really don't mind if I don't get a place - but are happy for me to travel (as long as I pay for it). I also have penfriends in the states that I can't wait to met. Especially one...
