When I told myself that I wanted to take AS Chemsitry, at the beginning of the school year, I was not fully convinced.

Sure, I thought, an A Level in Chemistry is going to be a challenge, but it will be extremely satisfying if I do well.

But I can honestly say: it is the most interesting, fun, exciting, worthwhile course I have ever taken.

Maybe it's beacuse I have the 2 best teachers in the whole damn school teaching it, but I'm pretty sure it's more than that.

I think to myself each morning, 'Have I got Chemistry today?' and am actually very disappointed when it turns out I haven't on the one day that this is the case.

Anyone doing GCSE Chemistry, however you find it, if you can take it at AS level, do. We've got this trip to a lecture on Nov 22nd as well, where we'll see lots of explosions (simple pleasures) and some awesome bits about how Chemistry is used in film etc. etc.

It's excellent.

Yay Chemistry!

I had two of the best chemistry teachers in the world, too. But it just didn't 'click' in my head. Hence me giving it up post-GCSE.

One of my regrets was not taking chemistry at AS Level, and taking the rather time wasting and redundant Computing instead.

I hates it

I HATES IT!!

And then I took a Biochemistry degree...

By the way, I hope you enjoy getting it in the ass when you start A2 Chemistry and realise it gets 30x more difficult and pointless.

Heh, I was sure others would feel the same.

Maybe it's the way it's taught.

But GCSE Chemistry makes me cry. I wake up each morning and think, 'Have I got chemistry today?' and if I do I slit my wrists. I really couldn't give a damn about the extraction of Titanium to be honest.
