I went to Derby Uni and there was tension there then. Not saying it's just Derby Uni it's rife all over as well I think in America they just report it / hype it up more than over here.

I was Googling for some info about the Birmingham riot a few days ago, and I saw some amazingly racist comments on a forum.
What surprised me was that it was "in-fighting" between what we would generally call "the Asian population" - Indians and Pakistanis, really laying into each other.
