New EP, preceding the new album. Only 1000 copies being made and only released in America :-(.... I just ordered mine :-D

$10 inc. shipping. Works out as what? £6ish?

Really can't wait for the new album (which for some strange reason is being released in America first). I like South too much.

Okeydoke, this is what I've got & it sounds pretty close to me:

E [079900]
Emaj7 [079800] or [068700]
E? [x76x00] or [x76900]
E?? [x77x00] or [x77900]
C#maj11(ish) [9x9900] or [9x(11)900]
Asus2 [577600]

Intro: Riff1 - E - Emaj7 - E? - E?? - Riff2

Verse: E - Emaj7 - E? - E?? x3
E - Emaj7 - Riff2

Chorus: C#maj11 - Asus2 - Riff 1 (sometimes)

End on a normal open E [022100]

Not entirely sure about the bridge but you can wing it with the chorus chords. I know it's not 100% right, but I'm confident it's not too far off.

Par excellence. Actually, I think the Asus2 IS right but that it's the last chord of the chorus. Can't find the first one though. Hohum.

EDIT: Oo ooo. The root is C#. Definitely. But it's an unorthodox one again. [9x9900] possibly? Or maybe [x46600]? Hmm. I'll have a proper go at that tomorrow. Laters

It might help with naming and stuff of obscure chords.

Haha.

I was going to say the Asus2 wasn't right, but I wanted to make absolutely sure before we got rid of that just so chord.

:D

Good to know we're thinking it's similar.

Indeed. Played along with the song it sounds pretty much right to me... until the chorus. I'm not certain about the Asus2 either actually.

I can only find two tabs for songs of theirs: Paint The Silence (which is just chords that are infact correct) & Colours In Waves (chords & lead). The Colours In Waves one's pretty accurate though they're got the wrong first chord it's definitely a strange Esus2 [x7x077 being the closest I can get]

EDIT: Anyway, me bed go. I'm not giving up on HOI though, I want/need to be able to play it badly.

I like to play what I think it is without the music and see if it reminds me exactly and the E? -> E?? is a really Southy change, so it's quite possible it's right.

Unfortunately. What I've learnt is that no-one has a clue, seeing as I've seen tab for one of their songs before and it was god awful.

Really? Well, it's definitely that note change.

but there's obviously no certainty about

Indeed, they aren't exactly orthodox in their chordage

Not sure about the Emaj7, but there's obviously no certainty about this.

I follow most of the rest of it though.

Huzzah. And yeah, Asus2 r0x0r

By my reckoning it's:

E [079900]
Emaj7 [079800]
E? [x76x00]
E?? [x77x00]
Asus2[577600]

Intro: Riff 1(I'll tab it if you want) E - Emaj7 - E? - E?? Riff2

Verse: E - Emaj7 - Riff2 into chorus

Chorus: Asus2 - ??? - Riff1 into verse
