There's a bird in my garden eating one of our local pigeons. I think it's a hawk, or an eagle or something - looks like one of those ones they put the hood on and make it fly between medieval warrior's arms for scraps. Got some pictures, just uploading...nothing gory, I'd really like to know what sort of bird this is.

Not very good quality as I had to zoom in, but you can make out the shape and colours, which I'm sure means something to someone.

In that second on it looks like it had one of those little hoods on, but it wouldn't wear one, no matter how hard I chased it.

Those birds with teh "hoods" are falcons.

I doubt it's a falcon though.

Oh. My. God.

Now there's a squirrel sitting on the fence watching it rip apart this poor pigeon. I think the squirrel is next. *readies camera*
