It's very white, and the fade text is hard to read. also, putting colours aside, it seems a very basic design. i don't know if that's what you intended, but it doesn't appeal to me. Everything is too square.

Well, not sure what you mean by "very basic"... As for the fade text, it's not really meant to be important - hence the lighter shade - and the whole design is geared towards the content (not that there's much yet) being the focus.
And as for it being too square, it's just a matter of code.

Although I like the fade text, the problem tends to lie with most peoples monitors being crap therefore making it impossible to read.
