Fixed, or immovable joints - These are also called fibrous joints.

Slightly moveable joints - These are sometimes called cartialginous joints.

Freely moveable joints - These are sometimes called synovial joints.

Maybe your teacher meant the 3 ariculous muscle groups? There are dozens of joints!!!!!!!
