He stands there, in his smouldering suit, too dumb to take it off. He tugs at his collar from time to time, and a little smoke ebbs out. From his pocket he takes a charred handkerchief and mops at his brow, leaving black smudges on his forehead.
“Is that thing on?” he says to me, and I resist the urge to run up to him and choke him to death, and give him the thumbs up.

He pulls that sincere face, and clears his throat.
“I didn’t do it…” he says, and smirks if he’s made the best joke in the world (well, what’s left of it).

He turns to Dick, as if to say ‘I pulled a funny,’ but Cheney’s not taking it all too well, I mean he was on a video call with his wife, and saw her face melt when George sneezed and hit the button. He pushes George out of the way, with one strong arm pushing on his chest.
“That’s it Bush, I’ve had it, it’s my turn, I’m in charge.”

Then George pushes him back. Dick grabs the mic, and pulls it towards himself, but George slaps his hand away. Both men stand off each other and grumble to themselves, but that it for me, I can watch no more. I’d rather take my chances with the nuclear fallout than these two stooges.

Scarily plausible! (And don't worry, the lack of War and Peaces is very welcome.)

* chuckles *

I hope unknown kernel wasn't hoping for something war and peace like. The stories seem to be getting smaller.
