Right, I'm bored. Let's have some brain teasers.

First one (if you'vea heard it, don't givce it away)

A man walks into a bar (as in a drinks establishment), and asks for a glass of water. The bartender points a gun at him. The man thanks the bartender, and leaves.

Explain why.

That doesn't work quite as well when it is posted.

Four men are buried up to their necks in sand (*see picture), each is wearing a hat that is either black or white.

No man is told the colour of his hat but he knows there are
2 black and 2 white. One of the men must shout the correct colour of the hat he is wearing, if it is wrong they will all be shot if it is right htey will be released.

Who shouts and how does he know he is right?

ok, if a doctor gives me three pills and says to take one every half hour how long will they last?

That must be the right answer.

Send 1 and 2 first then send 1 back with the torch 3 mins
next 10 and 5 sending 2 back with the torch 12 mins
now send 1 and 2 across 2 mins

total 17 mins

sorry grix, thats wrong. u send over the fastest and slowest takes 10 minutes. send the fastest back another 1 minute, then 5 minutes to cross again, another 1 to go back and then 2 to get 1min and 2min person over. total 19 minutes
