absolutely stunning. possibly the most beautiful CG film to date, if you're a FF7 fan, you'll love it.

I dabbled one off Ebay.
Promised me perfect quality and English subs and delivered.
The film itself was alright... but... :-S

Was it ever really doing to do the original game justice?
It did seem more like a tacky spin-off rather than a proper sequel. "Jahova's not quite finished, lets finish them..." Also, it got silly.

FF7 had some epic scenes but these were broken up by "normal" bits inbetween, to let bits sink in. This went from crazy scene to crazy scene without any real explanation or build up... It was kind of nice seeing all the characters again though, but it did seem like a sequel for the sake of a sequel rather than a genuine continuation of the story.

I'll try watching it a few more times, see if I get anything more out of it. :-)

"Stopped showing in theatres in Japan."

Bear in mind there was only one theatre viewing in Japan and that was the premier. The Japanese DVDs arn't out 'till tomorrow, so what your watchin is VERY illegal. Unfortunatly a oficial sources put a US UMD/DVD release in November, and a European release in February.
