"Interviewing Bands"

I'm writing for an online magazine thats fairly big and I'm lucky enough to have the opportunity to interview the bands The Haunted, God Forbid and Mantiis when they tour in November this year. I'm really keen but I've never done anything like this before, I've never even interviewed non-famous people. I was just wondering if anyone could give me some pointers if you've interviewed people (for any purpose) in the past.

Also if you like/know of the bands and you've got some awesome question ideas then feel free to fire them at me.

You know what I'd ask them?

"Who the hell are you"

I've no idea who any of them are.

Ask them what they think about the pedestrianization of Norwich city centre.

Ask them about the death penalty.

Ask them if they meant to make your younger brother cry.

Ask them what they think of other bands, incessantly.

Just don't do the Zane Lowe apprach:

"You guys so rock"

"thanks"

"But really, what is it that makes you guys rock so much?"

"Just practice, really"

"That so rocks. Your new album rocks so much"

etc etc
