We've got a cable thing that winds up. You plug it in a phone socket then pull it as far as you want then there are 2-4 extra phone sockets.
Are you talking about a new line, or just an extension point for the existing line?
If it's just an extension, you can do it yourself for relative peanuts - kits are available at most DIY stores.

You can DIY easy enough.
Or, if you're handy (like me), and don't mind crawling around under the floorboards (like my dad), then you can do it for the price of a few wires and teh box thingyt.
