I thought that Dagenham was in the South of Essex, my mistake. I guess it's due to Essex's reputation that it gets a bad press, ie Large numbers of the walking Social Problem of Chavs and so on...

And I've been in Colchester Castle, but also around the town. Essex isnt so bad really, the rural parts aren't bad at all!

3) Dagenham is a London Borough
4) Colchester is a historic town, it ain't that bad

Yeah, it is... more to the point, I can safely say that I'm not from Essex, though I can remember visiting Colchester once and not thinking too much of it, though I'm certain it's not quite as bad as Dagenham may well be!
