Many peole have heard rumours that there was going to be a sequal to Gladiator. How on Earth can there be a sequal when Maximus is dead? This is the question I continued to repeat in my head hundreds on times, untill I heard that there was going to be a prequal!. At first I didnt know what a prequal was, untill I was told it will be a movie on what happened before Maximus died during the times when he was a General. It is not yet known when the film will happen and if Russell Crowe will star in it. If there will be a prequal, Im sure it will have all the gore and action that Gladiator has given to us.
I think that if the prequal has a good director the film will be great. Expesially if it was Ridley Scott again.
Please.. no... don't make a prequel. I imagine it will only be rubbish. I wish they would just leave a good film as it is and not try to pocket more money from making sequels. Sure if there is more to tell in the story then go ahead and make a second film but I don't know whether you'd agree making one when he was a general sounds ludicrous. The story of Gladiator has been told and a second one with a story like you say would probably be rubbish.. but who am I to judge..
I agree that if there actualy is a prequal the film will be a very big hit around the world just like the first one was.
the first thing is i haven't seen the gladiator but its supposed to be good i have heard ...im after buying it on dvd but if i ever win this damm competion im may just have that as my winning prize...well if they do bring out a prequuel to the gladiator i reckon it will be just as big a hit as the first ..
