I think Giggs will be rested a lot more next season and mainly featuring in vital games like Keane. Otherwise your gonna be looking at Ronaldo and Park interchanging on the wings and Fletcher (or a replacement for Keane??) and Scholes in the centre. We could do with another decent centre half alongside Rio aswell.

As back up maybe because Wes Brown is about as useful as a chocolate kettle but Rio and Silvestre are quite a good partnership. I believe we were the second best defensive team behind only Chelsea in the league.

Brown is on par with Silvestre IMO. He gets stuck in a lot more than Silvestre.
The only problem is that we need someone to command the back line. Now considering Rio wants more money he should prove that he can do this.

Wes plays pretty good as right back when Gaz aint playing, as he makes good runs down the wing. Silvestre can be good at times but he can also have his fair share of dodgy moments.
If he isn't going to sign another defender then he should give O'Shea more of a chance to play alongside Rio and see how they get on playing together for more than 2 games...

Silvestre is a bit of a headless chicken..IMO but his pace gets him out of trouble a lot of the time...I'd probably play him over Brown though! Purely for that reason!
