My current ones suck and I don't want to use the iPod white one.

I'm thinking I might get the proper headphones rather than the ears ones.... indeed.

MDR-EX71SL

Excellent bass and treble response, excellent for cutting out background noise, excellent price.

Can't go wrong with a pair, really.

Ah, cool.
I was looking at those on Amazon but then somebody ripped them apart in a review.

The Sony ones that go right inside your ear. Fon... something or other.
They rock - excellent at blocking out unwanted noise, music comes smooth with a chunky bass and they're very high quality.

I agree - the Sony ones are excellent. For some reason, although I have regular sized ears, I have freakishly small ear holes and these are the only ones I can wear that don't fall out. You do get a choice of sizes though too.

The bass is powerful and they have a good dynamic range.

The best money/quality headphones there are:

Sennheiser PX-100 £30

Depends whether you are willing to wear proper headphones, or whether you want earbuds.

The ipod ones break all the time, the plastic around the wire comes off for some reason.

Heh, no problem.

Also, with headphones, it pays to "break them in" so to speak. Playing them on a low-ish volume for a few days is reccomended, aparrantly. I've never gone to such lengths, but you do notice a slight raise in quality after a few hours listening.
