For the past two days I have been doing a total make over on a website I'm working on and I'm using MS Frontpage. One thing I have noticed with Frontpage is that it's extremely fiddly, especialy with page measurements, text and graphic arangement, also the tables are really hard to manage.
I did have a go at dreamweaver once, but it wasn't really for me and switching from WYSIWYG view to HTML and vis versa was a nightmare.
I'm thinking of just using PHP, as I gather that way is a lot more precise, but I can only do very basic PHP and I'm not sure if I should spend a lot of time learning advanced stuff.
I really doubt it, but does anyone have any tips on this sort of stuff, or could you just point me in the right direction for/ teach me some basic PHP skills that can help me with this?

fwiw, do as Nimco suggests, go to w3 schools and learn the basics first.

Anyway, thanks for all your help, I will definatly try learning css first, then php and javascript if nessecary.
