Only on the original Japanese units, which don't have the expansion bay.

Did anyone notice the mistake in the write up (ign.com) of the hard-drive for the PS2, 40mb! I hope not, 40gb more like!

Still the LCD screen, keyboard, mouse etc looks stunning.

I noticed that, yeah. Definitely 40Gb.

I was a little surprised that the HD and modem are to be sold seperately, as I'd always expected it to be a combined unit. Still, it makes much more sense having them seperate, as no everyone will want both.

I originall thought that one without the other would be pointless, but after thinking about it a bit more, it's not the case.

And I want that screen!

I don't need it, I just want it. It's sooooo sexy.

Does anyone know how to use the hard drive/internet?

will it be like the memory cards in the browser or in separate program like windows?

I'd imagine it'll be much like a PC once it's up and running.

There have been no screenshots or reports of the actual user interface yet though, which is the one thing that has rather disappointed me in the Sont-related E3 reports. Someone must have seen something... after all, they did have them running at the show!

40GB hard drive! My PC only has a 26GB (that's all three drives combined, one 20GB and two 3GB)
Has anybody actually looked inside the Expansion Bay, it's huge. Half of the PS2 is empty!

Yup. It took Sony less than a year to reduce PS2 to half its original size.

Clever sods, arent' they?

Portable PS2 in 2 years, anyone? ;-)
