Sorry, it's just been bugging me for weeks. This guy, Richard Thompson, is an actually incredible guitarist, and singer (if you're into that sort of thing), and yet barely anyone I know has heard of him. Is this something just near me or is he just a figment of my imagination? help!

..and the fact that he played with Fairport Convention. But, hey, he crosses musical (or should that be general?) boundaries, which can only be a good thing. John Martyn seems to straddle multiple genres too.

yeah, I have, he's quite good, but Richard Thompson is actually rock, it's just the name that conjures up images of accoustic guitars and turned up western soft hats. So does the picture...
