Actually it's based on some truth (however not as much as the 'fact' section would lead you to believe, ie, the priory of sion).
Well the groups and stuff is true, but it doesnt go much further than that, his other books are good as well

the whole thing is guff. misinterpreted facts turned into fiction. badly written, too.
It's the fact that everybody on the train reads this with especially smug faces as if they're saying 'Look at me, I'm cultured' that puts me off this book.
Its fantastic, you cant call me one of those smug people, I read it before i knew about all the stuff, some of his other stuff is better written though
