Simple question. Any good? I'm looking for a game that is likely to make me want to play it more then once.

I'm interested in this and Full Spectrum Warrior.

Anyone played these games?

I just started as the Seleucid Empire as well. I'm finding the lack of ranged siege weapons a bit annoying, but otherwise they are brilliant.

Also - am I the only one who loves the soundtrack?
It's wonderful.

Well I completed it, congratulations to your new Imperator. I took all of the undefended settlements in Italy and got my 44 provinces without much resistance. All you get is a little pop up window and a fanfare and then you get taken back to the main menu - a bit disappointing. I wanted to be able to continue with my campaign, giving orders to the other two families to kill off their leaders and suchforth.
Anywho, I started as the Seleucid Empire. THeir opening cutscene is genius, as are the Briton and Egyptian ones. They're based up near Egypt, in the Middle East, and at the moment I'm making bucketloads of money with my 5 small towns.

Anyone else who completes it, choose to play as the Carthaginians just to experience the hilarity of their opening cutscene.

I'm embarking on some serious personnel outsourcing.

This means collecting up my massive armies and sending them as an invasion fleet across the globe. The more units that die, the more money I make. It's win-win.

I'm doing all right, money wise. Same situation as WS pretty much, except there are 3 or 4 cities which are slightly in debt. Constantly building, though, and always have enough money to upgrade my buildings to the next level of development almost as soon as they're ready to.

Now I'm heading to the east to conquer some other mofo people.

My best ever Medieval game was silly - I conqured everything, made about 3,000,000 florins and wasted loads on endless buildings.

Thankfully being the genius that I am I have no money troubles whatsoever. In fact, all 43 of my reigons are on a low tax rate and only 1 is not making a profit. I have no cities that aren't building something, except where there is nothing available left to construct. And no, I'm not cheating or on easy mode.

I'm a managment guru.

Ahh, I remember back when I first got it and had no idea how to make any money.

I have plenty of money now, but have got a stage where buildings can cost almost 10 grand each. They're impressive in scale, but crikey, take an age to build and put quite dent in your economy. I'm sticking to building up smaller settlements for the time being.

That's alright, I lose about 6 grand every turn anyway. I suck at the game.
