*massive in terms of storage, of course. Not actual size.
The DVD's you get with CUBE are tiny. I'm sure Revolution will have a tray within a tray. I hope the Revolution uses blue ray or HD-DVD.
DS uses two storage systems.
Blu-Ray most probably, whatever gives the most storage for the cheapest production costs.
HD-DVD is much cheaper and Microsoft are expected to utilise it.
Nintendo may go their own way but HD-DVD is a nice idea and cheap and save Nintendo a lot of money.
But Blu-Ray is probably the future DVD format and will allow developers to port games from the PS3 to the Revolution very easily. Something Nintendo maybe eager to do to boost third party support.
But if Microsoft use HD-DVD that would be just as useful.
Plus due to Nintendo's hints at the prospect I'd say a big yes.
As for HD-DVD, I'm quite fond of the idea myself. I'd like to see the format excel, rather than see the other corporate monsters succeed with Blu-Ray....although Disney who have just announced that they will be supporting Sony et all with B-R doesn't help HD-DVD......
