i dont have an ipod but ive studied computer hardware.
the only thing I can think of is that you put a song on that is in an incompatable file format and it happens to be the first song on the ipods drive.
(before anyone says hdds dont have a first file hard drives use a track that goes arround the disk like a cd, and its split into sectors to help locate files, that game probibly doesent search for a specific file but uses the first one insted)
i wuddnt go near ipods since you can get portable mp3/photo and VIDEO players that also have games for £110
