After trying Kazaa, KazaaLite, Limewire Pro, Ares Lite, WinMX and various other free tools, I still can't find one that I like or that works.

Limewire was working, but my PestPatrol found 88 bits of Adware in my downloads so I got rid of that.

Anyone that uses a good downloader can you please share your info?

There are a few I'm yet to try, so any mentions would be appreciated.

use www.morpheus.com. download that for free. It is so fast and the best one i have used so far

Have you ever considered that the spyware was in the things you downloaded, and not in LimeWire....?

iTunes is free.
Downloading music from iTunes is not.

Limewire PRO, not the free version.

it's nice to see it having SOME positive effect though, i was pleasantly surprised to fond the new green day album for £12 in HMV, last time there was anything i wanted to buy from there it was about £16 for an average cd.

iTunes is free according to my mate who I was with today.

Whether you're meant to pay for it or not, I don't know.

Don't use iTunes?...

I'm pretty sure there's a few American sites that operate the same way which charge less and allow you to change stuff...
