Yes it is but the games on the N64 are to few and far between......shame

I think we should make 1 column next to xbox,sega,and all that for CONSOLE WARS and shove all you people in it to never ever come out.

You cant really argue over which is better as they are both different. Ok so they both play games but thats where the similarities stop. The Ps1 has a 32 bit processor, N64 has a 64 bit processor. The N64 is cartridge based, PS1 id CD Based. Inside they look totally different. So saying which is better is hard.
it all depends on the games, software is what makes a good console. the PS1 set the standards for today, Cd based machines, without the PS1 would gaming be the same? I think not! Sony took a brave leap to a better console where as Nintendo just released a powerfull SNES. Personally I think the PS1 is better. Just because the choice of games.

The N64 is for hardcore gamers, whilst the PS is for casuals. The N64 has the reveloutionary classics (Zelda, Conker, Mario, Goldeneye) while the PS has lots of sequals.

However, I do admire Sony for managing to make gaming something 'cool'.

Why Playstation is more popular than Nintendo 64 is because Playstation has a lot more games than Nintendo 64.They doesn´t care about quality.Nintendo care about quality and are the best.Over and out.

The N64 has a few brilliant games, which really make owning the console worthwhile.

But these are in the minority. The range for the Playstation is so large that it caters for a much wider range of tastes.

ps1 and n64 for are both good in there own ways. ps1 has good fighting and racing games, the n64 doesn't but it does have good platfomer and shooting which ps1 doesn't.

The biggest prob with N64 is that they made it carteridge. Thats exspensive. But i do think PS2 is better!

Well I think that 64 is a better console than the psone(obviousley becasue it is double the speed) but i dont think they have made enough good games for it, so the psone probably has the better games but the n64 is the better machine
