I have an .mp3 file (Blues Brother's Theme as it so happens), but according to WMP, it "cannot play the file, as the file type may not be supported" blahblah - you know the message.

It plays in Quicktime, but Quicktime sucks wang.

So what's going on?

Cheers.
It's just this one file too.

Look - I don't want your gayassed recommendations of "what's best" in short-sentences in an effort to make it seem all dramatic.

I want help with this problem, and that's it.
I'm happy with WMP, and always have been.

So go away, Apple boy.

Does WMP usually play your MP3s?

Edit: My bad, just read the last line of your post

Erm - Have you tried re-downloading the file?

There is a possiblity it might be copyright protected.

I'm not sure however.

Yes.

It's odd, because I have a bazillion mp3s and they all play perfectly, and this is an mp3...but muh.
Odd.

But it plays in Quicktime, and the integrated Quicktime malarky in my browser when I open it with it.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Impressive control panel
I have to say that I'm impressed with the features available having logged on... Loads of info - excellent.
