yep u an get the harrier
yep u get the harrier after you steal it in a mission off an aircraft carrier, the mustang depends on what ranking you get on the pilot school (i think you need all golds to get it)
The Airstrip (needed for both planes) - Get in some mission on third island.
The Mustang - Get all bronzes at Flight School at the Airstrip. It'll respawn in a hangar.
The Harrier (Hydra) - When you return to LS, you get a mission to nick one. It's pretty easy, then after that it respawns for you at the airstrip in another hangar.

Right, so I finally got round to using a cheat code to get the Hydrda. It's awesome, but is there anyway of switching between vertical and horizontal flying? The one that chases you when you fly out of LS seems to do so, but I can only waggle mine so far, then it ends up in the sea, or in the woods.
Right Analogue Stick. Move it up or down. Hold it in a direction for about ten seconds, if nothing happens then hold it the other way. The camera angle should change.
