Please help, I just recieved the mains adaptors to create a network, I tried to create one one but it just don't work can anybody help.

Possibly stupid question, but they are plugged directly into the wall, not into a four socket bar adapter, right?

The mains is effectively (and essentially) a circuit, so it functions in exactly the same way as ethernet cable. The plug points are just the equivalet of the ends of the cable. SR sell the kits, check them out, quite clever actually.

are you trying to connect upstaris to downsatirs, if so, it's possibly to do with the ring masin in your home. Modern homes have seperate rings for up and down on seperate circuts
