Only problem is now he can't connect to the internet anymore!
The computer connects through a router and it ~was~ as easy as plugging it in and having it work, but now it no longer works.
I went into the network connections bit, opened the LAN connection which said that it was connected then clicked repair. I was greeted by a lovely screen telling me that it could not renew the IP address.
All the other computers just require a cable to be plugged in. This one seems to have been altered by something so that the connection no longer works.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

I'll have another go at sorting it this afternoon then I'll get back to you.
As I said, all the other PCs (and this one before) just required the network cable to be plugged in and the internet then worked.
After the spyware was deleted, the network no longer works.
I'm gonna check over the settings to see if they've been changed (compare them to this laptop) otherwise it might just be a case of reformatting.
Made sure AA didn't delete any important 'ware?
Did you quarantine everything / make backups?
