I was browsing importmadness and stumbled across this, which I was lead to believe wasn't out until late this year, but it says its in stock?

Also on the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles section, there is a red banner stating 'ITEM NOT AVAILABLE!'

Nothing wrong with it, just neither are released yet.

That's the thing.
This place is saying they're released.
If you look at Metroid or Animal Crossing, it offers a pre-order and tells you the release date instead.

if they didnt have ssbm on the ds that would be a blow as its one of the best games ever for nintendo i loved the one on the gamecube so i think the one on the ds will be very good and excellent!

Smash Brothers is a games that'll NEVER work without an analogue stick.

Not with Smash Attacks anyway.

It actually says it's not out yet and that you can pre-order.

Hmmm... this is probably THE game I can't imagine working with the "feel" of a physical stick. Especially for Smash Attacks.

Maybe it could be done with a D-pad...
Double tap for a run, triple tap for a smash attack?
