This seems a bit of an economic-esque question and i'm struggling to find anything much about it online so perhaps you can give me some help.

What industries can you think of that have traditionally remained separate that have moved closer together due to integration?

and examples of voluntary and independent screen and print media.

Thanks.

Films and game of the film maybe too.

These days even more so with the release of the game coinciding with the release of the film. EG, Spiderman 2. Enter the matrix.

Does anyone think this is a feasible answer?

The print and broadcast industries have moved closer together over recent years with some television and radio stations publishing quad-annual magazines for their consumers. However an area where two industries have got closer is websites and any other form of media. Radio stations, TV stations, magazines etc all have websites nowadays to promote their products and make them more accessible to people. The websites often do have a lot of content, such as the BBC website, which boasts plenty of free content due to integration of different media forms to make the BBC more accessible to a larger number of people.
