I haven't but always meant to just never had a place near me.

Think there is one in Glasgow on Buchahhon Street, might go tomorrow. How weak do you feel after it because I'll need to got work later in the day.

The idea is that by losing blood it forces your body to put a little more effort in to replace it.

By my interpretation getting "fitter" is something you can only do with a healthy diet and regular exercise.

There's long been a belief that blood-letting makes people better - which some people still carry to this day. It's kind of along the same lines as using leeches on people.

I went to give blood a couple of weeks ago, but after a few minutes of sucking (it's a horrible feeling), the needle fell out and I started bleeding everywhere. Arg. They still sent me a donation card though and i'll go along next time. Left a huge bruse on my arm which was sore for about a week afterwords. it's worth it though.

It cant be checked early on for something like CJD, its impossible to trace in the couple of years after its contracted.

True, but it be a real kick in the balls if you got something just because the blood wasn't checked.
