I brought the first two episodes on DVD for £14 . Sharpes rifles and sharpes eagle. I enjoyed them but wasn't sure whether to get the rest of the epsiodes. It might of been because after watching Hornblower it looked abit basic.

Does the series get better later on?

I read the book of sharpes enemy.
Is the particular episode as good as the book?

Thirdly what do you think of the series?

Thank you

no where near!

The programmes where brilliant. Ive got them on DVD. They are not strictly faithful to the books which i read before hand.

These are my favourite series of books. Got them all and read most of them several times. Awesome books great series.

ITV announced a few days ago they are making a new one of his adventures in India! can't wait

'Twas classic (note that this opinion may be effected by the fact that "Sharpe" is my surname):)
