Why do a ot of people keep saying the PS3 chip is based on the PowerPC? Its nothing to do with PowerPC. In anycase, at 4Ghz, is going to be rapid. And lets not forget, that if the design on the chip is good, that could mean even better performance than expected. In otherwords, you would need a 5Ghz PC to match the 4Ghz PS3.

It's not faster than the beta designed GC dut to release in exactly 7 hours and 45 minutes.

The ps3 processor is 10 times faster than the ps2. it runs a 4GH's (thats faster than my pc) WOW!
