i started playing super mario, the first one on nintendo, and im on world 7, level 4 which is bowsers castle, and you have to keep running just on the normal bricks running and running until you reach bowser, but for some reason no matter how fast i run i cant get to the end in time before my time runs out and i die, how do i beat this level?

You need to listen out for a particular sound after each section of that level.

If you hear a high pitched bleep, you're doing the level correctly. If you hear a lower pitched noise, you need to try that bit again by taking a slightly different route.

If I remember correctly, you have to work out the correct combination of jumping over objects. If you get it wrong the room will just repeat. For example, ther might be some blocks in the middle of the screen which you could either (a) run underneath or (b) jump over.

As Edgy said, you will hear a different pitch bleep depending on if you have done it correctly or not. You have to do this for several rooms and if you get it wrong it starts back at the original combination.

Bear in mind this is all from memory of a game I havent played for several years and I could in fact be mixing it up with one of the other versions of Mario.
