When you create a site is it best to hide the source code ? If so, how do you do it ?

You can create your entire website inside a Java applet, but of course all elements of web design are thrown out the window - basically running an application inside a browser. It does work if you want to display information, but not exactly the best method.

Isnt there a way to encrypt the code.

It might of been a dream or i might of read it somewhere.

Cant remember.

There's no way to hide the source at all, not that I woul dhave thought anyway.

All you need to do is use the browser to download the HTML file, or even download it using the command line or linux command line.

Then open it using a text editor. HTML files aren't encrypted in any way, so this is really easy to get a hold of for any website.

What do you have to hide?

No matter how hard you try there's no real way to hide the source code (unless it's server side stuff like PHP) and there's rarely anything that you need to hide anyway.
