OMG THAT WAS SO AWESOME!
The Saunders thing was kind of crap (can ANYONE at CTU guard so much as a cup of coffee?!) but the rest was gold. I especially loved Jack's "oops" moment when he went into the wrong room, and I thought the ending was really powerful (twist is that there's no twist lol).
Lots of people are annoyed that there's no Max/ze Germans tie in, and it was just kind of passed off as them all being caught between S2 and S3 but I don't mind, this series was very action packed, and a lot funnier, too. It's a real shame that Chase won't be in the field next year, and apparently a few other characters might not get their contracts renewed (Chase, Michelle, Kim only as a guest due to movie commitments most likely) but that leaves a space wide open for...the chinese agent who was involved in the Saunders raid! He's so cool...

just watched it now. although it got way too patriotic at times it was so cool. i hope that now palmer ain't the pressie he could take part in the action maybe... that would be cool. and the chinese agent is brilliant. and now who is the head of CTU?
I thought the final show was OK, though wasn't built up into a proper climax like it was with the final showdown in season 2.
It was SO obvious that Gael's wife would do something to Saunders (I thought she was going to stab him), and that with Saunders out of the picture, he wouldn't be able to identify the carrier.
The bit in the school was pretty tense, and Chase took yet more physical punishment before Jack coming to the (obvious) rescue. Then when we saw the axe I think we all knew what was coming next :D
What will happen to Palmer (it would be cool if he became some government minister in charge of CTU) And do we really think Sherry is dead??...
All in all another fantastic season, seems like such a long time ago since it started. Kim had an awful haircut, we thought Gael was an evil mole, Tony was shot in the neck yet still managed to return, Jack mixed it up with the Salazars, Nina came and went, as did Amador, prison riots, Russian Roulette, military jets shooting helicopters with missiles, the Mexican shootout between the virus buyers and CTU, Jack killing Chappelle, smarmy English villain with a simple agenda for revenge (no bigger fish?), tense shootouts, plot twists, death, action, more death, loads more plot twists. Fantastic.
Season 4 is supposed to air in January. Whoo!
