Are those pets behind you?

Yep, a Flatlands Cougar I think and a parrot which I bought from Booty Bay for 40 silver. An utterly pointless purchase as all it does is fly behind you, but it’s nice to show off round populated areas.

Can you kill it/starve it/torture it?

For the main pet, yes you can choose not to feed it, but all that’ll do though is decrease it’s happiness, if it decreases too far, it’ll run away forcing you to find another pet. Pointless really, if it’s unhappy it’s attack power is only about 50% whereas if you keep it fed it increases to 125%.

As for the other pets such as parrots and suchlike, you can’t feed them, neglect them, order them about, nothing, they just follow you around.

I’m sorry to say you can’t do “Totally, awesome, cool” things like torture pets, so those kinds of cheap thrills will have to be sought elsewhere.
