Hovever there must be some sort of downside to it.Maybe it might affect your walking when you are older or something like that. I think that the issue that God made you who you are stuff will come in to it when Christians make their views clear.
I think probably its useful to have those operation but I don't think just anyone should be allowed to under go the surgery it should be aimed at helping disabilities with heights and scientists should investigate more into the downsides of the surgery. The cost of the surgery is probably very expensive. It does make you wonder why some people are desperate to get taller?
I can only make a guess that from the looks of things now its not worth putting yourself through all that pain just to become taller.I was surprised when heard surgeons could make you taller because I didn't think it could be possible. I think its extreme. But then that is my opinion. What is your opinion?
It costs around £50,000 in the States. And you do have a 1 in 12 chance of it just not working properly.
Nah, I would like to be a bit taller, simply to be able to look down on my Dad, but not at that much sacrifice.

Heh. Now that you mention it, I bet more men would be willing to spend 6 months in a wheelchair to be 2" longer, rather than taller :^)
Though if they can do that I expect the real recovery is a bit easier...
20 or something because its expensive. What do you think christianity will say about this?

Nah, taller people (in particular men) are perceived as better, more competent, more healthy, more attractive, throughout the world.
There was even some study about it on richard and judy a few days ago.
I heard about the operation a few years ago, through basketball circles. Aparently it didn't work for basketballers (who are often obsessed with height!), as the bones weren't strong enough to take the strain of the sport. They just snapped at the 'extensions'.
I wouldn't do it, but if I was in a scenario where it would enable me to get a better career out of it, you'd have to at least consider it.

I think for suregery of what has been described, removing vital ligaments and increasing bone length it would cost far, far more.
