I have  playstation 2 (not a big fat one). I want to connect it to the internet. I've read online that I need an ethernet cable to do this and not a network adapter since i don't have the oldest kind of ps2. I was wondering what else I would need in order for this whole thing to work. i have a router on the computer I would be connecting it to. do I just connect one end of the ethernet to the ps2 and the other end to the router? thanks for any help.

Hi, welcome to the forums.

What you've said sounds about right - connecting the PS2 to your router with a normal network cable. I believe later PS2s have the network adaptor built in.

I'm no PS2 expert, but if you then use a game with an 'online' feature you then need to follow the network configuration steps in the online settings for the game.

Are you just interesting in using the PS2 for online games or are you trying to use it to browse the internet?
