Has anyone installed a recent version of a YaBB Forum http://www.yabbforum.com/ on a Freeola webspace. The quick guide chmod settings are 755 or 666, however, looking at Freeola support pages I've tried setting these to 777 or 770. Do perl scripts .pl need to be renamed .cgi
I just can't get past the first stage http://www.healthandmedicine.net/cgi-bin/yabb2/Setup.cgi?

HTML files should have their permission set to 755, PHP files 644 and Perl scripts should be 777. You do not need to rename Perl scripts from .pl and .cgi but you do need to make sure that the first line of each Perl script is #!/usr/bin/perl.
Folders within htdocs should be 755 unless they are written to by a Perl script, in which case they shoudl be 770.
