I see the upgrade to PHP5 seems to be going smoothly (so far). Can anyone from Freeola tell me if there are plans to upgrade Perl?
The servers are currently using version 5.00503, yet 5.8.8 is available - loads of bug fixes and security updates. I don't see many perl queries on these forums, maybe I'm the only user?

Thanks, an upgrade would be hugely appreciated.
It would save me loads of time figuring out work-arounds for old software :-)

I've spoken to our Systems Team about this and Perl is not due to be updated as part of this upgrade process. However, they have promised to look into a solution for customers requiring later Perl versions once the current round of updates is complete.
