Unfortunately we do not allow customers to install custom software onto our web servers. Out web hosting service is designed to host websites and the scripts that go with them and not other services such as email.
We cannot allow incoming email to the web servers due to security issues.

Thanks for reply, it was what I expected but worth asking. I think I know the answer to my next question however. Would you object if I install a mail server. Knowing that you don't provide shell access but that I could place phpshell onto the server to give myself limited shell access to configure a webserver such as Mailman.
That way my CMS mail modules could interact with the mail server stored within my usr/bin/, allowing for password control etc. I can then create accounts using myfreeola configure them with mail forwarding, pointing to the accounts on 'my' server.
Outgoing mail would be sent via smtp (sendmail) and could be aliased for reply to your server accounts.

I can fully understand if you say no to this solution as well as I am sure you want to keep control over all mail security to prevent a server on your machines being compromised.

I'm trying to achieve a webmail interface (as part of other community offerings) that gives users a bit of control over their mail settings.
Primarily I want them to able to set their own mail forwarding settings.
Secondly I would like for their log-in password to relate to their email password.
I also want to set up a few list-servers.

Perhaps I am going about this the wrong way in terms of how freeola expects users to do stuff, but as I have been a customer of your ISP services since about '99 and as you are FREE for hosting I want to stick to a free solution. (Of course!)

My current webmail set up for this site is a cut down version of your own webmail log in form and I had been thinking of just passing the password and username data for this from fields on the sql table related to the CMS user data. However I sill cannot offer over webmail forwarding control via your own webmail interface, and of course it says freeola all over it ;-)

I'd appreciate constructive suggestions as to work arounds that maybe acheive what I would like. I'm sure this is something you must have come across before.

I'm afraid the answer to your question is no:(. We only allow email accounts to be created via MyFreeola and account data is not stored on the web servers but on a separate email system. The only email facility you can use on the web servers is Sendmail, to send out mail.

I've installed the drupal 5.x CMS utilisising freeola's Mysql service as a data back end. There are several mailhandling modules on the CMS I would like to utilise for webpushes.  My question is, can I hook into postfix on the freeola servers so that when users are added via the CMS then an email address is created for them and the password for mail is the same as their CMS password.
The email address would only be created for the single hosted domain, and it is an approve only access CMS system for a club website.

I haven't really checked to see if freeola use postfix yet of course ;-)

I hope this makes sense if anybody can advise me on a way forward I'd be grateful.
If any further info is needed such as version numbers for stuff then please just ask.
