Premier League back on now the Higgins vs Ding match was terrible, gave me confidence though that they can be a bad as me!

It's coming to Derby this week I think but tickets were like golddust and once again no chance of getting any for me.

Ah well at least I have Sky!

The streaker wasn't going to be enough to stop Ronnie taking the title. 18-8 was pretty convincing in the end and Ronnie didn't even play that great.

Ronnie is going to be pretty miffed now that Carter got a 147 in his match against Ebdon. That cost him the best part of £80,000. He'll just have to do another one.

Good 147 from Carter though. You could tell he never made one in competitive play because you could see him shaking on the final black.

Damnit, i was going to put money on him doing it at some point this tournament. It was 30-1 that anyone did it this year :(

That was a magnificent 147 by Ronnie. The shot he played to move the red away from the pink by potting the black with a lot of power was just brilliant.

The World Championship has been pretty good so far. I thought it was a bit harsh to take the Carter V Hawkins match off at 9-9 because it was 25 minutes before the evening session was to start.

Ebdon had to fight to win, Higgins got through a tough opponent, Lee is considering retirement and we aren't even through the first round yet.

It was the first Sunday I went for wanted to see Ali Carter as I've not seen him before.

I did ask for 8 though so that might by why, maybe if I'd done two for 4 each I might have been luckier.

Ah well BBC interactive is next best!

I did have a look at World Championship tickets (not that I could get to Sheffield) but the system they use is pretty bad.

I'm guessing you went for some of the later matches because I can't believe that every session is sold out.

Ronnie vs Selby in the Welsh Open final Ronnie was superb last night winning with a 143 and if he keeps it up he'll win.

The joys of Sky TV. I've been keeping up with the Welsh Open on BBC2 Wales. Ronnie seems to be doing well in ranking events. I think the website said 7 straight ranking event quarter finals in tournaments he has entered. The Masters isn't a ranking event so doesn't count.

Selby has improved so much in the last season and a half. The World Championship final really kickstarted that.

I didn't get to go in the end. I just kept getting sick and struggling to recover. My 2 brothers went though. Got on the TV coverage too.

Just booked Masters tickets. Going Wednesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon. On Wednesday afternoon, it's Higgins V Ding and on Thursday, it might be Ronnie V Hendry if they get past Maguire and Selby respectively.

Ronnie was on top form but I was glad to see Maguire get a few frames on the board.

The 147 in the decider shows just what a devastating player he really is, even when the pressure is on.

Glad to see Europe win the Mosconi Cup in the Yanks back yard well done to them.

The world championship snooker application form is online now at worldsnooker.com if you want to download it and apply for tickets by the way. You'll probably have to register first though although they only want a username and password and e-mail address.

Fantastic 147 by Ronnie and then demolished Maguire. By the end of the first session at 8-0, Maguire looked pretty demoralised. At least he avoided the whitewash.

And, of course, congratulations to Europe for winning the Mosconi Cup (for once). Only 3 wins in 14 attempts and one draw.

Maguire into the UK final and Ronnie vs Selby tomorrow for a chance to play him.

If Selby plays to the top of his game he has a chance but I think Ronnie will get to the final.

Premier League snooker semi final and final this weekend. Ronnie V Hendry and Ding V Higgins.

The UK Championships are pretty soon as well.

He was probably playing like he does in practise (although he said he hasn't been practising). It was just getting down and playing shots, not a lot of safety and going for anything that looked half good. He was knocking them in, so it worked.

Last group games tonight. The big game will be the final one between Davis and Higgins, with Davis needing a win to progress.

Ronnie was superb last Thursday in that form he's unbeatable but did get frustrated at time and smashed the balls about carelessley.

That said if he plays like that in the semis he'll get to the final and walk it.

Maguire defeats Fergal O'Brien to win the Northern Ireland trophy. The provisional rankings have Murphy at 1. The biggest surprise is Doherty at 14. Davis needs a good run in a big tournament as he is about 23 I think.

Just a quick word about the World Pool Championships. Well done to Daryl Peach who became not only the first Brit to make a World Final but the first British World Pool Champion.

Ronnie hits a 147 and 4 other centuries in a 5-2 win and he still wasn't happy. :)

Well Davis got well and truly hammered 6-0 by Ding in last nights premier league.

I was disappointed Jimmy missed an easy colour in the 5th frame as if he'd made it he was likely to take it into a decider as to whether he got a draw or not but it wasn't to be.

Ronnie, Ding and Hendry are through with Davis, Higgins and White battling for the last semi finals spot.

The Northern Ireland trophy starts this weekend and the World Pool Championships start this Saturday. It's a bit of a strange format this time around.

I suspect theyre they're linked together for him. If he wasn't feeling great at the start it will have affected him or he could have simply been playing badly, in which case his mood would have gotten worse throughout the game.

Ronnie was looking less and less interested as the game went on. He wanted out of there pretty quick. I don't know if it was because he wasn't playing to the standard he wants to play or if he's going into meltdown again.

Great win for Fu he deserved it after playing some great snooker. Ronnie just didn't get going and Fu pounced to take his first ranking title.

He's now provisionally in the top 16 coming up from about 34 in the rankings.

If he can continue to play like that he'll stay in the top 16 for a few years to come.

Great match in Ronnie vs Murphy with Ronnie edging it 6-5.

I expect he'll win the tournament but I'm looking forward to the Greene vs Fu semi tonight, I think Fu will get through after his 5-0 whitewash in the quarters but Greene has a chance.

Ronnie has looked pretty good so far. He has been continuing his good form after the demolition of Jimmy White in the Premier League last week.

Murphy has made a few silly errors and he'll have to tighten his game up.

I would say the winner of the Greene V Perry match would reach the final but Fu might cause a bit of an upset.

I was looking at the World Pool Championships to see what about the dates, qualifiers etc and Davis isn't in it. He can't make it because he'll be playing in the Northern Ireland trophy.

Murphy vs Ronnie in the Grand Prix semi with the Joe Perry v Gerard Greene and Liu Song v Marco Fu quarters tonight.

I'm glad to see that one of these 4 playing tonight will get to the final it'll be a great experience for them. I expect Perry to get through but it really could be any one of them.

Pot Black is a bit of harsh competition in a way. Going all that way just to play 1 frame of snooker and then go home again. It's a bit of fun though.

The Grand Prix, with it's quick league format, is underway this weekend I think. There aren't many fans of the format. The early rounds can get quite confusing to keep up with.

Bit of a mess around in the Pot Black tournment but good to see Ken Doherty win, nice to see a bit of light hearted entertainment in snooker.

Pot Black on Saturday. Ronnie has stated personal commitments for his non-participation.

High quality in the Ronnie V Ding game last week. The Grand Prix is soon so the Premier League will be having a week off in the next couple of weeks I'd think.

The standard has been very high in the premier league so far and hopefully it'll continue.

The Ding vs Ronnie game last week was epecially good showing Ronnie can come back after going a few frames behind.

Jimmy V Ding was a really high quality match. Breaks of 86, 138, 70 to steal the frame, 66 and 62, 66 again and 103, all in 6 frames and an hour.

It's also interesting how the shot clock just seems to throw the new guys off their game. John Higgins didn't really have his rhythm at all.

It should be every Thursday on Sky Sports 1 at 7:30pm. If it's not Sky Sports 1, it'll be Sky Sports 2 or 3. I don't recall it ever being on Xtra before.

What channel are you watching this on?

I checked Sky earlier this week and I could've sworn there was nothing on there.
