THIS IS A PC REVIEW......
Following on from the disappointing FEAR 2, comes what we used to call an 'expansion pack' - FEAR 2: Reborn DLC - FOR THE PC
For £5.99 from Steam, you can download 4 single-player levels following the fortunes of a renegade Replica soldier - Foxtrot 813.
The story does emphasize the influence of Paxton Fettel within the Fear series but like FEAR 2 itself, it really lacks the conviction and the 'drive' of the three earlier games. However, the conclusion does suggest a future - FEAR2: Paxton Fettel Rejuvinated?
Graphical 'wizardry' abounds but game play is extremely bland, predictable and confusing at times. OK, all weapons from previous games exist in profusion and fire-fights are intense, but there is 'nothing to set the house on fire'.
Entertaining for a dreary afternoon in November but definately not worth the download or £5.99.
